Eliezer Hemeli literally has Israel embedded in his DNA. Born and raised in Israel, Hemeli, a Brigadier General (res.), has felt the connection to his homeland since he was young. Following a promising and rich career in the IDF, Hemeli made the natural transition to helping his country in other ways. As the national director of the “Friends of Israel Defense Forces” and later the executive director of the “American Friends of The Israel National Museum of Science”, Hemeli set as a goal more than just fundraising. He made sure these organizations thrive and developed cultural exchange programs to empower and fortify the connection of the Jewish diaspora to the real Israel. The Israel you don’t see in the news or read about in the papers – the Israel that the Israelis experience every second of every day.
The Israeli Discovery journeys and missions started out when one of the many contacts Eliezer made abroad asked for his help in organizing a big family event in Israel. Eliezer complied and found a new passion. He had so much fun organizing the mega event (with a week-long stay for the whole extended family, accommodations, trips, entertainment and the event itself) that he decided this is what he wanted to do from then on. He wanted to bring people to this magical place called Israel and show them the real deal.
Eliezer Hemeli organizes events and missions to Israel with a meticulous eye for details, making sure every little thing is taken care of. He has a vast network of suppliers and strategic partners, all working together to make sure the next group’s or family’s even and journey are just perfect.
His mission – providing people unforgettable memories and experiences that last a lifetime.
